The Prom Swim 2025 - Welcome to the New Season

Dear Swimmers / Members -

We hope you enjoyed the summer break!!

Over the summer, the Committee/Coaching Team have been busy preparing for the upcoming 2025/26 season. Our season starts formally next Saturday (30th August 2025) with our 89th Annual Prom Swim!! This open water swim in Salthill has been running since 1934 and is brilliant way to start the new season – open to all Members.

There is a “Club Only” Junior Swim for under 13s from Blackrock Tower to Ladies Beach (400m) which is great to try out Sea Swimming and is free to enter. The Senior Swim will take place after and is open race, all are welcome.

Pool sessions are planned to start the following week, with swimmers due back in the pool from Monday 1st Sept 2025. We will be issuing information on the pool programme, squads and some squad structural changes over the coming few days. We look forward to seeing you all back for the upcoming season for more fun in the pool!!
